LeBron's Encounters A Familiar Demon In Lob City

If LeBron keeps failing to execute in clutch situations,
get used to seeing this on television.
Ever hear the joke about LeBron James and Sarah Palin?

No?  Well google it then.

Needless to say that all of the biggest recurring joke of the night was LeBron and his Heat. A stale boring joke. LeBron, Wade and Bosh go 3-8 from the floor in the 4th quarter and LeBron fouls Chauncey Billups on a three point attempt in the waning seconds of regulation. He goes on to miss three consecutive baskets in the extra period. Clippers win 95-89. In a scene that is painfully familiar to LeBron fans nationwide, James kills his team in the 4th quarter and overtime.

The school of thought here is that if he cannot snap out of his fourth quarter blues in the regular season, how can he be expected to lead his team to close victories over the likes of Boston, Chicago and Oklahoma City in the playoffs?

He cannot.

He will not.

I will repeat those words until provided evidence to the contrary. Until then, let the inappropriate jokes about Sarah Palin and jokes about his fiancee having more rings than he does continue. Until then, marquee victories by the new look Clippers and milestones like James' 200th double double will be overshadowed by his inability to seal the deal.

  1. I caught wind of this site because I'm Brandon's roommate. I really like your stuff on this blog. Many might say LeBron and the Heat have undeserved scrutiny but the Heat brought it upon themselves by having a party before the 2010-2011 season, and LeBron brought it upon himself by... being "King" James. All players have off nights but when LeBron finds ways to be consistently disappear in the fourth quarter of close games (as he did not only in this game but the Warriors game prior to this one), it can't be ignored. Maybe Norris Cole should be getting the ball next time the game's on the line...
