...And It Was The Worst Start To An NCAA Tournament

St. Patrick (NJ) alum, Derrick Gordon,
came off the bench to lead the Hilltoppers in scoring.
Past teammates include Kentucky's Mike Kidd-Gilchrist
and the Cleveland Cavalier's Kyrie Irving.
Here a turnover.  There a turnover.  Everywhere a turnover.

The best basketball player in the building, Barrack Obama, could only shake his head after watching Western Kentucky's 59-58 win over Mississippi Valley State in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.  The game can be summed up by the stupidity of MVSU in the final minute.  Particularly, Cor-J Cox tipping in the ball down by three at the last second.

27 of the game's 43 turnovers were Western Kentucky's.  The Toppers were down by 15 before they outscored the Devils 23-9 in the last minute of the game.  This may have been the worst game to kick off a tournament that I have ever witnessed.  However, the NCAA tournament has one game in the books.  Two more days until complete madness.

That being said, congrats to the Hilltoppers and Devils for good seasons.  For the Toppers, best of luck against Kentucky.  Common sense and history is against you guys but I really want UK to lose.
